Dear
Colleagues,
AMBA (Brazilian Medical Association of Acupuncture) and ICMART(International
Council of Medical Acupuncture and Related Techniques), an organization
which encompasses medical acupuncture societies from 53 different
countries, are organizing the World Congress of Integrated Medical
Acupuncture and AMBA's 9th Brazilian Congress on Chinese Medicine
and Acupuncture. The goal of this Congress is the integration
of Brazilian acupuncture with international acupuncture and
Western medicine. This will be accomplished by presentations
and debates on health policies, professional education, medical
specialization and associative matters.
The extensive congress program includes reports on the most
recent scientific research, plus lectures, workshops, panel
discussions and courses by world teachers on acupuncture.
We are sure this Congress will meet the needs of all participants,
thus making it the largest medical congress on acupuncture to
ever have happened in Brazil.
We hope you will feel an intense atmosphere of love and integration,
combining human kindness, natural environment, leisure activities
and scientific debates.
We look forward to see you in October.
Ruy Yukimatsu Tanigawa

Dear Colleagues,
The
growth and spreading of medical acupuncture, as well as the development
of ICMART represent an objective witness to the interest of the
medical practitioners towards this unique technique which adds
so many possibilitiesto the treatment of patients.
It
is however of paramount importance that the representatives of
this worldwide community meet regularly in order to consolidate
the network of information, research and progress in this field.
That
is why this congress in Brazil is essential for the improvement
in knowledge, whether theoretical or practical, in acupuncture
and related techniques. Many lecturers from many countries will
offer the results of their thoughts, of their experience, of their
techniques.
At
the same time the participants will have this rare opportunity
to meet, to exchange, to discuss, to learn and to discover the
many aspects of acupuncture, those that stem from the traditional
approach, those that are modulated by a scientific appraisal and
those which receive the special light of evidence based medicine.
I
am sure that you will be many to come to Guaruja, and in the name
of ICMART I welcome you to this important event.
Looking
forward to seeing you all,
Acupuncturally
yours,
Baron
Beyens, MD
General Secretary of ICMART" |
